Managed a team of ten financial staff including two qualified accountants
Overhead savings of 13%, and Direct productivity improvements of 20% were realized
post comprehensive analysis and introduction of targeting, structured reporting and
headcount planning
Drove a quality standard costing system and relevant and accurate variance analysis
enabling profits to be maximized by targeting margins, costs and markets
Instigated faster, more accurate and improved month-end closes and forecasting by
use of improved systems and processes: saved an average of more than 2 days
Achieved a £1.4m reduction in inventory held and improved turns from 5.2 to 7.7 without
compromising high levels of customer satisfaction
Achieved an operating profit 5% above plan by active cross department communication
with Operations team and functional leaders
